Our second album False Start City made it to number 34 on the official Finnish Top 40 chart in it's first week on the charts. The number is quite nice considering the album is only sold in select record stores. There was much rejoicement. Thank you for everyone who bought it, we appreciate it!

Ultrasport's second album False Start City was released in Finland today on the 5th of January 2007. A limited edition of 1000 copies will only be available in Stupido Shop, 8raita Record Store, Platta and levykauppa Äx. The tracks are also distributed digitally, so check your favourite online music store.
You can choose what you pay for the limited edition, the minimum price is only 1 euro. Obviously we'll be very very happy if you think our music is worth more than that...

Ultrasport has released a double A-side radio single featuring two tracks from the upcoming album. The tracks are False Start City and Tired Of The Lovers.
Might be a nice idea for all you Finns and Swedes to bother your favourite radio station and ask them to play it on constant repeat until the thrill is completely gone...

As of today, 15th of August, our debut album should be available in every cool record store in Scandinavia. In other words, if your favourite record store doesn't yet serve this delicacy then tell them to order it, now.
The Scandinavian release is a co-release by Gashopper and Marsu on paras, and the distributor is Playground Music Scandinavia. Record should be available in every country covered by Playground Music Scandinavia's distribution.

At the moment Darla, Tonevendor and Poppolar are selling our debut album Nothing Can Go Wrong in North America.
In addition to that Carrot Top Distribution is distributing the album to several record stores, so you should be able to buy it from your favourite record store. If they don't sell us then it's not your favourite after all. :)

Our debut album was released by Quince Records in Japan on 19th of March. If you happen to live in Japan you can get it for example from HMV or Tower Records plus a million other places.
The North American distribution will start late April and the European distribution will soon follow in late May. Go buy the album and make us filthy rich!

Ultrasport has signed a licensing contract with the Japanese Quince Records and ultrasport's debut album will be released in Japan on 19.03.2005 as far as we know. Yay.
Distribution in the USA is confirmed but the European distribution is still TBA.
Currently you can check out the track listing and some song samples from our Olli + music section and we'll keep updating things when the release gets closer.

Secret Crush Records will release a compilation CD, called 'Stamp Collecting (For Beginners)' sometime mid-October. Ultrasport is on the comp with a track from our Mieto EP, namely 'Ballgames' among with all our favourite bands!

Ultrasport will contribute a track on the Canadian Humblebee Recordings' compilation 'Hey, Where'd the Summer Go?'.
The compilation will feature the likes of The National Splits, Colombus, The L'il Hospital, Paper Moon, The state of Samuel, Miss July, Sleepy Township, Evie, The Snow Fairies, Architecture In Helsinki and more!
The track that we are contributing is a "re-mixed" and "re-mastered" version of Sharing Secrets from our now sold out Skating EP. The compilation should be out in early 2003 so look out for that!
Oh yeah, and there's a full page story on us in the Hufvudstadsbladet's Vision! Nice... :)

"Meet The Scene - an introduction to Finnish underground guitar pop"
(BRRL-001) did come out on Tuesday 30.10.2001 on Rhythm Barrel Records and what a great compilation it is! Loads of very cool songs by the likes of The Sugarrush, Ben's Diapers, Spokane, Big White Monkees + all the bands mentioned before and so many more. Definitely worth the money you worked so hard to earn!
You can get the record directly from the Rhythm Barrel Records site or from the more "indie-minded" record stores in Finland. We do try to peddle it to you if you ever come see one of our live shows, so that's also one way of getting your hands on the compilation...
